Shipping & Delivery Policy

Making time comes first

One promise, site-wide: about 7 days of hand work between your approval of the characters and dispatch — the same 7 days on every product page, because a lead time that changes per item is one nobody can remember. We do not promise stock on hand or express making, because nothing here exists before you order it. On the rare piece that genuinely needs longer — a matched pair of stones cut by eye, a sheet cut into four quarters — we email you before any work starts, and you may cancel then for a full refund.

After dispatch

Parcels leave Quanzhou, China by tracked international courier — the dedicated small-packet line we use reaches most United States addresses in about 8–10 working days, so we quote 7–15 business days after dispatch to allow for customs and for addresses further out. The tracking number is emailed the day the parcel leaves.

What the whole wait looks like

About 7 days of making, then transit: plan on roughly three weeks from order to door for a United States address, a little longer elsewhere. Every step is tracked; if one stalls, we tell you what we know rather than leaving you guessing.

What shipping costs

Shipping is charged in USD at checkout. United States — $12 for the first piece and $3 for each additional piece; free tracked shipping over $150. Europe and the United Kingdom — $16 for the first piece and $4 for each additional piece; free tracked shipping over $180. Rest of the world — $20 for the first piece and $5 for each additional piece, with no free-shipping threshold. Boxed sets and large tubes (the gift box, the genealogy set, the couplet pair, the matched seal pair and the 8-pack) carry a packing surcharge of $6 / $8 / $10 by region. These are launch rates for tracked airmail; if a remote address needs a surcharge we email you before charging it.

Duties and taxes

Prices at checkout exclude VAT, GST and import duties. Where your country charges them, they are the buyer’s responsibility and are collected at delivery or customs. Parcels are declared at the actual transaction value — we do not undervalue shipments, and we ask you not to request it.

Addresses and delays

  • The delivery address is yours to keep correct; a parcel returned undeliverable is re-shipped at cost.
  • Couriers often cannot serve PO boxes — if yours cannot, we email you before dispatch instead of guessing.
  • Customs holds are outside our control; we supply any paperwork the carrier asks for, quickly.

What we do not promise

No same-day writing, no express queue-jumping, no guaranteed delivery date before customs. A date we cannot keep is a lie we would rather not tell.
